Jazzing 12 Vol.1

More than 70 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 21 have been part of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band during these 16 years of life. Most are dedicated to music, some of them with international careers. Some have finished their higher studies in music at schools in Catalonia such as the SMUC, the Liceu or the Taller de Músics and play an important role in the country's current jazz scene.

Currently, the SAJB is made up of around 24 young musicians, with an average age of 14 years. Many of them were not even born when the project began, in 2006.

In this JAZZING 12 we can see part of the work we have done during the year 2021 and in it we discover many new faces. Time passes, the musicians change, but the Sant Andreu Jazz Band is still there, maintaining the same spirit and the same energy.

I, as a director, continue with the same illusion and love for teaching and for continuing, with my work, giving opportunities so that they can grow as musicians and as people in a different way. Feeling like musicians from the first moment.
