Jazzing 6, vol. 2

I learn every day from my students, who never cease to teach me that we have no limits, that we can always move forward; that by enjoying each moment we are unconsciously aware that the best is yet to come, but that is not why we live waiting, because, time and time again, we are in the best moment, which is the present.

With the desire to continue learning, each new day is like being born again, because each day you know a little more than the day before, each day you surprise yourself, or you can be surprised, if you are alert: I think the point is not to wait, just to live and enjoy each advance, each moment, each new step, to give the best of yourself to others, regardless of where you are.

No matter the age, no matter the passage of time; losses matter, to learn from them; encounters matter, to enjoy them and learn from them, as long as they last.

Love matters, in every sense of the word, and being patient and not in a hurry. And not to be afraid of the end, being grateful for each new day and living it as if it were the last, but with the calm that nothing urges us.

This Jazzing 6 is the result of all this way of understanding music, of understanding life. In total (volumes 1 and 2), 20 original arrangements, written for the band and with the collaboration of some of the great jazz musicians: Joel Frahm, Jon-Erik Kellso, John Allred, Luigi Grasso, Ignasi Terraza, Josep Traver and Esteve Pi.
