Joan Chamorro presenta Alba Armengou

Alba Armengou joined the Sant Andreu Jazz Band in 2009, when she was 7 years old. She has always been a serious, punctual and responsible person.

Her first instrument is the trumpet, but she is also a saxophonist (alto and soprano) and vocalist. Alba has always been a good performer, with good timing, good sound, more than correct intonation, regardless of the instrument (voice, saxophones, trumpet, etc.) and Alba, following her own path, has decided that she wants to put all these positive characteristics into developing herself, to be Alba Armengou, the trumpeter and saxophonist who, apart from performing, can also create.

Alba's voice is becoming more and more personal, more and more recognisable.

This new CD, with most of the wonderful arrangements by Joan Monné, shows us Alba Armengou with a personal sensitivity in her voice, especially in the bossanovas, and also shows us, with her first recorded improvisations, how great and wonderful her future as a jazzwoman will be.

Alba was 17 years old at the time of this recording and has a whole life ahead of her to continue to delight us with her art.
